My castle

Το έργο που σας παρουσιάζω σήμερα δημιουργήθηκε για να πάρω μέρος σε μια πρόκληση

με θέμα μια σελίδα art journal που περιέχει ανάγλυφο τοίχο.

 Ο τοίχος μου ανήκει σε ένα ψηλό κάστρο.

Μέσα του είναι φυλακισμένα όνειρα, συναισθήματα, φοβίες, άνθρωποι...

... ο καθένας ξέρει τι έχει στο δικό του κάστρο.

 Αρχικά έβαψα το χαρτί 300gr με σκούρο καφέ ακρυλικό χρώμα.

Χρησιμοποίησα stone effect paste (antharacite και cement) 

και τις άπλωσα με σπάτουλα με στένσιλ Bricks Texture στο χαρτί.

Χρησιμοποίησα επίσης σε κάποια σημεία πάστα χοντρόκοκκη,
Dekor paint (poison green) και pasta luce.

 

Στους αρμούς της τοιχοποιίας κόλλησα, με heavy body gel, φυσικό έλος.

Επίσης κόλλησα και τρία χάρτινα λουλούδια.

Τα μεταλλικά κάγκελα στο παράθυρο βάφτηκαν με ακρυλικά χρώματα για εφέ σκουριάς.

Με λευκό μαρκαδόρο γράφτηκε στο παράθυρο η φράση

"If you love something let it free, if it comes back it 's yours, if it doesn't it never meant to be."

I was inspired by Marta's Lapkowska lesson.

 The lady is an image transfer with mod podge.

A wanderlust lesson with Marta

Last year, I started art journaling and I discovered Marta Lapkowska

and her amazing videos on YouTube (Maremi SmallArt).

Yesterday, it was her turn to teach at Wanderlust 2017

and I had the opportunity to watch  the two fabulous projects she made.

As I was watching the videos, at the same time I was creating my projects

and I want to share them with you.

 The first one is an art journal spread.

The second project, I decided to create it on a canvas.

 Marta used a tree bark as a base of her project.

I had pieces of tree bark and I separated it into pieces 

and stuck it with modelling paste on a canvas
and I used this as a base for my project.

 At the end, I found out that I had two focal points at my project

and it would be better if it was one.

I will be more careful next time.

Anyway, the fact is that I really enjoyed all the process.

Α tiny tuna tin full of sea

Αυτό το μήνα μια πρόκληση του Wanderlust 2017 με οδήγησε να ψάξω στα "σκουπίδια" μου

και να βρω και να χρησιμοποιήσω μια μίνι κονσέρβα τόνου ως βάση για ένα έργο μικτών τεχνικών. 

A challenge of Wanderlust 2017 was the motive to search into my "rubbish" and find a tiny tuna tin.

I used it as the basis for a mixed media project.

 Η κονσέρβα έχει διάμετρο 6 εκατοστά.

Μέσα της δημιούργησα ένα σκηνικό μιας φουρτουνιασμένης θάλασσας.

The tin is 6 centimeters in diameter.

Inside the tin I created a scene of a roaring sea.

 Εξωτερικά "σκούριασα" την κονσέρβα με τη πάστα σκουριάς της Artex. 

The external surface of the tin was rusted with iron paste, Artex.

 Τσαλάκωσα διάφορα χαρτιά για φόντο, κάποια τα είχα βουτήξει σε διάφανο σκληρυντικό Artex.

Μια εκτύπωση παλιάς φωτογραφίας καραβιού, ένα κομμάτι από τουλπάνι, ένα γρανάζι, 

χαρτόνια ζωγραφισμένα με ακουαρέλες για κύματα,

3d balls και 3d powder coarse της Pentart συνθέτουν το σκηνικό.

I used wrinkled papers, fabric hardener, Artex, an old printed photo of a boat, a piece of cheesecloth, a gear, cardboads painted with watercolors, 3d balls and 3d powder coarse , Pentart.

 Χρωματίστηκαν με media ink spray της Pentart,  ακρυλικό Delicate metallic της Pentart

και σκόνη pigment της Artex.

 I painted the cheesecloth with media ink spray, Pentart 

and the papers with acrylic Delicate metallic, Pentart and pigment, Artex.

January' s prompt - Wanderlust

It is a combination of January' s Wanderlust lessons

I followed Kasia's first lesson's steps and I made a collage 

with black and white photos of my works (second and third week).

 

 

  

Miracles always happen when you believe

This is a mixed media canvas painting inspired by Mary's Wangerin video (Week2-Wanderlust2017)

I followed her lesson's steps by working on layers and kept the circle and the butterfly 

but I multiplied them and the whole painting turned out very different from hers.

 and some closer photos of the dancing butterflies...
