Guest designer at CanvasCorpBrands - Part 3

My third and last project for CanvasCorpBrands blog is called "Flying house"

The third project is a small city made of air dry clay on an mdf board. 
The background was made with modelling paste and stencils 
and then painted with tattered angels mists. 
The wings are embellishments from 7gypsies Architextures collection. 
The sun is a piece of paper from a book.. 
I  glued it on the sky and painted it with watercolors and High Impact paint.

Guest designer at CanvasCorpBrands - Part 2

My second project for CanvasCorpBrands blog is called "The lantern"

 It is a mixed media painting on an mdf board. 

An old lantern is on a table next to a plate and two herrings are hung on the wall.

The wall was painted with three colors and a spatula .

For the table I gave the sensation of wood with modelling paste. 

The lantern is an amazing embellishment from 7gypsies Architextures collection.

 I screwed a hook on the wall and hung two herrings (collage) with a twine.

Guest designer at CanvasCorpBrands - Part 1

Hello lovely crafters!

Today I am guest designer at Canvas Corp Brands blog as a winner at May's challenge.

I have made three mixed media projects for you.

The first one is called " Summer memories"

 

 

It is a fabric wall pocket for summer memories.

I used a blank board for mixed media art and I glued natural seashells and elements made of clay, 

3d balls, a piece of cheesecloth, twine, metal embellishments, a small bottle and glass circles on it. 

I applied gesso and crackle paste and then painted it with tattered angels mists, 

high impact paint and glimmer glam paint. 

 

 

 

I made a wall pocket from a piece of fabric and glued the board on it. 

 

I hung it with wire from a driftwood.

In the Meadow

Today I am Guest Designer at Stamps and Stencils blog for April's challenge.

The theme is In the Meadow!

"Meadows are such amazing places - lots of different grasses, wild flowers and wonderful wildlife. 

Let your imagination run wild ...and use stamps or stencils too! Enjoy!"

My project is a mixed media painting on mdf.

 

The theme inspired me to create a spring landscape in blue shades.

The sun shines and golden touches are everywhere.

 

I applied modelling paste with stencils on an mdf  board. I used white gesso and acrylic paints. 

Drops of alcohol  reacts with the paints and creates a wonderful effect.

I also used stamps with permanent ink.

 

I stuck gold leafs to the petals of the big flower.

I applied gesso and acrylic paints with alcochol drops on a second mdf board to use it as a frame.

I stuck the two mdf boards together and I applied goldpasta at the edges.

Once upon a time there was a little fairy...

  Hello creative people!

Today I want to share with you my fairy tale.

Τhis  month, I am invited as a Guest Designer at the "Mixed Media World" challenge blog.

 My project is a mixed media painting on mdf board.

I like to make fairy tales while I create my projects. 

I don't know which comes first in my mind, the painting or the tale.

"Once upon a time there was a little fairy.

Every night she used to collect stars from the sky.

She would catch them with her net.

Every morning she game them to the people.

Most of them didn't understand that the present was a star, so they threw it away.

Only a few valued the gift and held it tight so that they did not lose it.

They are the ones who shine."  

 For the background I used modelling paste with a stencil (Crocko effect, Stamperia)

Then I paint it with white acrylic paint and I glued pieces of lace, 

tissue paper with music notes and cardboard.

I painted the background with Artex pigment powders.

I put a second mdf board behind the first one to make it look like a frame. 

I added texture with modelling paste and stamps.

The fairy, the heart and the round frame was made of ceramic powder and a mold (Blue Stars, Stamperia)
 

The stars was made of light clay. I used acrylic colours and goldpasta.

I also used threads, 3d balls, strass and a metal key to complete the composition.

Altered ship

 Hello creative people!

Today I want to share with you an "altered ship".

Τhis  month, I am invited as a Guest Designer at the  "A Vintage Journey"  blog

The challenge theme is "Altered art".

"We'd like you to get creative with recycled objects in a vintage, shabby, mixed media, art journalling, industrial, timeworn, or steampunk style. Turn something unloved and unwanted into a work of art. Try some repurposing - make something new out of something old, or incorporate an unwanted object into your artwork.  Think tin cans and jars, old bottles, toothbrushes, unwanted packaging - the more inventive the better."

Σήμερα θέλω να μοιραστώ μαζί σας ένα "εναλλακτικό πλοίο"

 I created an altered steampunk ship from recycled objects.

Some may call them junk, but I called them treasures.

So, I filled a ship with altered treasures.

Δημιούργησα ένα εναλλακτικό πλοίο ανακυκλώνοντας παλαιά αντικείμενα.
Για πολλούς αυτά μπορεί να είναι σκουπίδια αλλά για μένα αποδείχθηκαν θησαυρός.
 Έτσι, γέμισα τα αμπάρια του πλοίου με θησαυρούς.

  

I will try to describe you the whole process with some photos.

 I cut three holes in a piece of mdf wood and I glued three tiny tuna tins behind the holes.

Θα προσπαθήσω να σας περιγράψω τη διαδικασία κατασκευής του πλοίου με φωτογραφίες.

Έκανα τρεις τρύπες σε ένα κομμάτι mdf και κόλλησα μικρές κονσέρβες τόνου πίσω από τις τρύπες.

 I used Heavy Body paste to create texture, air dry clay to create screws 

and I painted the mdf with creamy acrylics.

Into the holes I glued cheesecloth which was painted with Media inks.

Χρησιμοποίησα  Heavy Body paste για να δημιουργήσω υφές, αυτοξηρούμενο πηλό για τις βίδες

και έβαψα το mdf με creamy acrylics.

Μέσα στις τρύπες κόλλησα τουλπάνι και το έβαψα με Media inks.

 Also, I used a piece of wood (from an old bed), a battery basis, 

a steel wire kitchen pot scrubber, a rusted tube tap, burnt lamps,

Χρησιμοποίησα επίσης, ένα κομμάτι ξύλο από παλιό κρεβάτι, βάση γαι μπαταρίες,

σίρμα κουζίνας, σκουριασμένη τάπα σωλήνα, καμμένα λαμπάκια,

a damaged watch, wire, gears, a sea shell, an old chain, a wooden heart,

a spring, small items made of  air dry clay or stencil paste and silicone molds,

ένα χαλασμένο ρολόι, σόρμα, γρανάζια, κοχύλι, μια παλιά αλυσίδα, μια ξύλινη καρδία,

ένα ελατήριο, μικρά αντικέιμενα φτιαγμένα με αυτοξηρούμενο πηλό ή stencil paste 

και καλούπια σιλικόνης,

rusted screws, nails, twine and many others small items.

σκουριασμένες βίδες, σπάγκο και πολλά άλλα μικροαντικείμενα.

Initially, I made the skeleton of the ship and then I filled the three cabins with treasures.

Αρχικά, έστησα το σκελετό του πλοίου και στη συνέχεια γέμισα με θησαυρούς τα αμπάρια.

 

Into the cabins, I also used heavy body gel matte, 3d balls, 3d powder coarse,

pigments, wax cream  and 7 dots papers.

Στα αμπάρια χρησιμοποίησα, επίσης, heavy body gel matte, 3d balls, 3d powder coarse,

pigments, wax cream  και χαρτιά 7 dots..

I used stencils with heavy body paste to write some numbers and words on the ship.

Air dry clay elements were painted with rust effect paints and liquid rust effect.
The butterfly was painted with iron paste.
